From having a walk-through of the historical sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square to exploring religious sites like Boudhhanath, Swayambhunath, and Pashupatinath, you can make the most of your day in Kathmandu.

Day 03

Rise early and have a delicious breakfast in Kathmandu, then fly to Lukla for about 45 minutes. Chasing stunning scenery, you continue your journey with about 3 hours of trekking to Phakding. The trail is a well-maintained one following the upstream Dudh Koshi River. Pass on to the Sherpa villages, and you can rest at Phakding in teahouses and lodges after covering a distance of 7.5 km.

Day 04

Take your time to gain moderate elevation and get to Namche Bazar, the gateway to the Everest Base Camp trek. Ascending through rhododendron forests, you will treat yourself to the eye-catching views of Mt. Kusum Kanguru (6396m). As the trail continues, you will pass by Sagarmatha National Park, show your trekking permit, and pay Sagarmatha’s entry fee before having a short walk to Namche Bazaar.

Day 05

Through the lively streets of Namche Bazaar, you can interact with locals, explore the morning, and wander around to learn more about the Sherpa culture. On your rest day, as you acclimatize, you can also take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel and have views of the sunrise and sunset. The breathtaking vistas of the surrounding peaks and the Everest Massif would complete your day.

Day 06

On Day 6, you are heading to the peaceful village of Dole, following the yak pastures and the Dudh Koshi River. After an exhausting yet interesting journey up in the diverse Himalayan terrain, you rest, recalling the rich panorama the surrounding villages have to offer, after savoring the flavors of Dole.

Day 07

Today marks the day when you can have a final ascent to Gokyo Valley. This 5-hour trek will begin with a view of the spectacular Gokyo Ri Pass. Below, a turquoise Gokyo Lake is awaiting. A glimpse of the unique life of a Sherpa can be noticed with spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu. Along the way, you will be able to explore the towering peaks and glaciers. As soon as you reach Machhermo, you can spend your night there, savoring the flavors in the chill atmosphere.

Day 08

The time has come when, when you ascend on the lakes of the Gokyo region, you can have reflecting and crystal-clear views of the lakes of Gokyo. Beyond Gokyo Cho, also known as Dudh Pokhari, other glacial lakes like Longpanga Cho, Ngojumba Cho, Gyazumpa Cho, Thonak Cho, and Tanjung Cho have also been attractions in the Gokyo region.

You can witness aquatic life in the Gokyo region and also encounter wetland birds, wood snipe, common pochard, northern pintail, and other rare species. At an altitude of 4,700 to 5,000 meters, you find majestic Himalayan grandeur as such. Also, you can hike to Gokyo Ri Peak, but will return to the altitude of 4750m in the Gokyo region to spend your night in the available teahouses

Day 09

It takes you about 2 to 3 hours to trek from Gokyo to Thagnak. Traversing through high-altitude landscapes, lakes, and glaciers, you have a chilly morning walk to the section of Gokyo and pass through crevasses to reach Thagnak, the next adventure for the day.

Day 10

Today is the day when you conquer the Cho La Pass. This pass connects the main Everest Base Camp Trail with the Gokyo region. Since you will be trekking over the glacier, you will require crampons. This is the tough day that will end in Lobuche village for the rest. Magnificent views along the trail will inspire and motivate you to make the effort. End your day at the teahouses in Lobuche with the satisfaction of glancing at the Everest massif from one step closer than the day before.

Day 11

The trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep is relatively short, but you can have a series of steep climbs and switchbacks on your way. You can have your lunch at the teahouses to follow and spend your night in Gorakshep, the last village in the Everest region, at an elevation of 5,180 m.

Day 12

Through glacial moraine landscapes, you will now switch to climbing to Kalapathar/Dingboche. By following the Khumbu Glacier, you can now go to witness the iconic base camp and return to rest your day off at Kalapathar, which is famous for sunrise and sunset viewpoints.

Day 13

You will have a rest day exploring the Kalapatthar and Dingboche sections of the Everest region. The morning can begin with paving your way toward the astonishing views of the sunrise and witnessing the glittering peaks of Lhotse, Mt. Everest, and other surrounding peaks in the region.

Day 14

It is a short trek of about 3 to 4 hours to reach Chhukung, the gateway to Island Base Camp. You can be a part of panoramic views of the Himalayas from a unique perspective as you approach the enchanting village of Chhukung. Following the fresh mountain air, you follow the views of Ama Dablam and Lhotse that lead you to Island Peak Base Camp, but before resting in the serenity of Chhukung, enjoy the hospitality of the locals.

Day 15

After having breakfast in the alpine meadows of Chhukung, you now have a steady pace of trekking and climbing in steep sections, leading you to Island Peak Base Camp. Gradually acclimatizing and witnessing the Khumbu Glacier and the irresistibly beautiful surrounding Himalayas, you prepare to keep yourself walking to the base camp amidst rocky sections. Finally, you complete the 2 km journey in about 3 to 4 hours. On reaching the campsite, you prepare for one of the coldest nights in the glacial moraines with your thermal sleeping gear.

Day 16

The time has come to gear up for the summit of Island Peak. The day can get pretty hectic as you are to remain active for about 10 to 12 hours of the day, from conquering the peak to tracing your way back to the village of Chhukung. Using ice crampons and basic mountaineering skills, you challenge yourself to the top of Island Peak, which would be worth the effort. Carry nutritional snacks to charge your energy when you feel low, and believe in yourself, as you can enjoy the incredible mountain views when climbing the exciting Island peak itself.

Day 17

With the satisfaction of conquering the Island Peak summit, you wake up with a smile. Indeed, the strenuous activity got a little tough, but it's not time to rest yet as you have a scenic descent to the village of Tangboche, which is about 5 to 6 hours. The trail continues to have enchanting views from the bank of the Imja Khola River, cascading waterfalls, and lush vegetation that is more vibrant than the barren moraine you encounter for a few days to the summit.

Day 18

The day's energy began with a nourishing breakfast in the teahouses of Tangboche. Now, the team will prepare to depart for the bustling town of Namche Bazaar. The trail leads you in a welcoming contrast to what you have been experiencing at high altitudes. Revitalize yourself as you approach the Dudh Koshi River and the surrounding valleys of your trek route. The crossing of several suspension bridges and final stretching on your way back to Sherpa houses and villages for about 4 to 5 hours is planned until you arrive at Namche Bazaar.

Day 19

It takes about 6 to 7 hours to reach Lukla from Namche Bazaar. First, you prepare to descend on an elevation loss from 3,440 meters (11,318 feet) to 2,860 meters. The air gets warmer as you approach your final steps in the Himalayas. You encounter a traditional Sherpa village, Phakding, on your way, where you will have your lunch.

After resting for some time and bidding farewell to the views of the top, you walk for about 3 to 4 hours before reaching Lukla. The peaceful Dudh Koshi Valley also witnessed you leaving, as you maintained traction on the descent.

Day 20

Keeping memories in your heart and savoring the flavors of the Himalayas for one last time, you board a flight to Kathmandu. You can rest, relax, and perform post trek massages in the bustling capital of Nepal, before you leave for your respective homes.

Day 21

Days passed quite fast, but they fueled you with memories of life, isn’t it? Some things are better not said; similar are these memories, bittersweet with Pure Adventure Nepal. With a farewell program, we bid you goodbye until next time.
