Trip Itinerary

Day 01

Today marks the day of arrival, the first day of the itinerary. The Pure Adventure team will pick you up at the airport and ensure you are transferred to a comfortable hotel. After some rest, you will be called for a welcome dinner. During this, we will discuss further plans for the trip.

Day 02

The following day, after your arrival, you will explore the vibrant capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. You will sightsee historical monuments in Kathmandu, like Kathmandu Durbar Square and Kasthamandap Temple, visit Swayambhunath Temple, and have a leisurely stroll in the street of Thamel.

On the other hand, special permit requirements for trekking in the Manaslu Conservation Area would be arranged. By then, you can enjoy the lively nightlife scene in Thamel and also shop for the activity to follow.

Day 03

As the journey begins early in the morning, get yourself ready and prepare for a scenic drive to Machha Khola after breakfast. It is the starting point of the Manaslu Conservation Area, which comes after beautiful scenery of green fields, orchards, and rich vegetation after 8 hours of driving. Lunch arrangements are made along the way.

Day 04

Manaslu Circuit Trek starts from Machha Khola, and today is the day when you ascend through villages and forests to reach Jagat. At first, you will encounter the village of Kholarbesi, then, you will pass through Tatopani, Dobhan, and Tharo Bharyang, and finally, you will reach Jagat, at an elevation of 1340 meters.

Day 05

It takes about 5 to 6 hours to trek to Deng from Jagat. It is a moderate trekking difficulty where you come across forests, alpine meadows, and steep sections in 5 to 6 hours of walking at a steady pace. Passing through Sridibas, Philim, you will acknowledge the beautiful scenery of the Himalayas and learn to cope with the altitude gain.

Day 06

Beginning right after a hearty breakfast at Deng, you ascend to the lodge or teahouse in Namrung. You will cover a distance of about 11 kilometers and gain an elevation of 770 m on your journey to Namrung, which takes around 5 to 6 hours. The day's walk can be challenging through a steady ascent on the rugged landscape of Nepal.

Day 07

The trek from Namrung to Lho gains an elevation of 550 meters and takes around 3 to 4 hours of moderate-day walking. During the trekking hours, you will cover a distance of a total of 7 km, with encounters with wildlife. The traditional Gurung village of Lho is where you will rest your day after savoring traditional cuisine and hospitality.

Day 08

You will cross the Bhote Koshi valley, with lush forests and terraced pastures, before reaching Samagaun at 3535 m elevation. It provides you glimpses of spectacular views of Manaslu (8163 m) and surrounding peaks.

Day 09

Samagaun is a great place where you can rest and acclimatize before stepping into the high-altitude regions of the Manaslu Circuit trek. Have side trips and visit the Manaslu base camp. But before that, you can explore the Birendra Taal, named after Lake King Birendra of Nepal, at an altitude of 3630 m above sea level. Stay tuned to the weather forecast as you prepare for the journey. You can spend the day with the local yak herder and even go to the hilltop Pungen Monastery to learn about Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 10

The time has come when you will make a gentle climb toward the Tibetan border, to Samdo at an elevation of 3875. Just after breakfast, you cross the Budhi Gandaki River and gradually eye the adoring views from Samdo, reflecting on the majestic peaks in the Manaslu massif.

Day 11

After a steady climb to Samdo, the following day is the rest day. Samdo village allows optional hikes to nearby viewpoints on Tibet Border Day to have a well-deserved rest and explore Tibetan charm and rugged beauty. Reach Larkya La Viewpoint, visit Samdo GomGompad Pungyen Gompa, and enjoy the contrasting views as the altitude unfolds.

Day 12

On Day 12, you will set off from Samdo, paving your way towards Larke Phedi or Dharmasala based on your preference. The gradual ascent continues to surprise you with the panoramas of the surrounding peak. Day 13

The adventure begins early in the morning after breakfast, and it's the most-awaited one when you get to mark the pinnacle of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. As you cross the most demanding Larkya La Pass, at 5160 m, with satisfaction and pleasure, you descend towards Bhimthang, who will witness all your bitter-sweet remembrances of the day.

Day 14

Be prepared to lose elevation after the thrilling ascent and descent of Larkya La. Witness the difference in the crisp air, notice how the ambiance is getting warmer, and take your final few steps in the Manaslu region. Catching on to memories, you slow down and descend on the lush meadows in the valley. After 5 to 6 hours of walking, you will reach the village of Tilje, which greets you with a smile of victory.

Day 15

Day 16

The time has come to leave Jagat. Take pride and carry memories of verdant valleys before returning to Kathmandu. With your breakfast at Jagat, you leave for Besisahar on a jeep drive. Lead a transformative experience and return to Kathmandu to end your journey.

Day 17

But before you leave, you get to have a free day in Kathmandu, where you can explore and sightsee Kathmandu with unique gestures. Make the most of it by shopping for your beloved and opting for relaxing post-trek activities like massage and other self-care activities.

Day 18

After gathering thousands of memories from this trek, you will say your final goodbye to Nepal today. With an early morning breakfast, you will be dropped off at Tribhuwan International Airport by the team members. To avoid any last-minute rush, you can pack your stuff on the previous day. Pure Adventure team welcomes you to a further visit to Nepal with open arms.
