On the full moon day of Chaitra, the devotees flow around the region and country to get to Ama Yangri as a part of the ritual. They witness the sunrise and the lamas pay homage to the mother porter by carrying out hours-long prayers. Moreover, the locals enjoy butter tea, barley beer, and local wine.

Trip Itinerary
Day 01
Your trekking adventure officially begins on this day. Upon arrival, you will be received by the representatives of Pure Adventure. Thereafter, you will check into your hotel and prepare to explore Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the bustling capital of Nepal. Also, you can further stroll around the UNESCO World Heritage sites. After you return to your hotel, have a welcome dinner and prepare for the trek.
Day 02
After collecting yourself from the hotel in Kathmandu, you will pass through Bhaktapur which is an ancient city, and will continue to drive towards Timbu which is 60 km from Kathmandu. You can either opt for a public vehicle or a private jeep. After you reach there, you can spend your night there in a local teahouse or a lodge and prepare yourself for the future trek.
Day 03
On this day, your trekking adventure will begin with a gentle ascend through lush forests from Timbu. As you move ahead, you will further explore some of the spectacular views of the mighty and snow-capped mountains.
After hiking for 4 to 5 hours, you will arrive in Tarke Gyang which is located at an elevation of 2,600 meters. In the afternoon, you can take time to explore the village and local monasteries of this Buddhist village. You will spend overnight at Tarke Gyang.
Day 04
With an early morning breakfast from Tarke Gyang, you will head through the rhododendron groves and move toward your destination. After trekking for 4 hours, you will eventually reach the peak. From there, you will be able to explore the panoramic vistas of the mountains including Langtang Lirung, Gauri Shankar, and Jugal Himal.
After you enjoy this breathtaking view, you will descend back to Tarke Gyang and enjoy the local meals there. There are no tea houses along the route, so it is recommended to take your snacks and water.
Day 05
As you gather yourself from Tarke Gyang, you will continue this trek to Sermathang for the next 4 to 5 hours. Sermathang is a small and charming village which is known for its rich Sherpa and Tamang culture. The trail is easier than the previous days. Once you arrive there, you can visit the local monastery and immerse yourself in the culture. You will spend the rest of your final day there.
Day 06
On the following day, you will have a choice between two enchanting options; Melamche and Kakani. You can either hike to Melamche which is renowned for Buddhist culture and stupas. Alternatively, you can get to Kakani which is a hill station that is popular for its amazing views. You will be driving back to Kathmandu from there for about 6 to 7 hours. After that, you can get to your hotel and rest for the day.
Day 07
After gathering thousands of memories from this trek, you will say your final goodbye to Nepal today. With an early morning breakfast, you will be dropped off at Tribhuwan International Airport by the team members. To avoid any last-minute rush, you can pack your stuff on the previous day. After boarding your flight you will end your journey in Nepal.
